Standard Rollator

The Medline Standard Rollator is our versatile everyday rollator — four wheels, hand brakes, standard-width built-in seat, and a folding frame that fits any vehicle. Lighter and easier to maneuver than the wider-seat F-22, this is the right pick for most visitors and residents who need a rollator without the extra seat width.

Best For

  • Visitors with balance concerns or fatigue who can walk but benefit from walker-plus-seat support
  • Kansas City visits involving moderate walking — Plaza, Crown Center, museum days
  • Convention attendees who want balance support through exhibit halls with rest-as-you-go flexibility
  • Post-surgical recovery where walking is part of the recovery plan but support and rest breaks help
  • Residents needing temporary mobility support during accommodation or fall-risk management periods

The Medline Standard Rollator is the right rental for the most common rollator use case: a visitor or resident who can walk but wants balance support, a rest-seat on-demand, and the confidence of hand brakes when needed. Lighter than the wide-seat F-22, simpler to maneuver, and still the full rollator feature set.

When the Standard Fits Best

For the typical rollator user — walking independently but wanting support, occasional rest stops on a Plaza afternoon or a museum visit, and a folded frame that loads into a sedan trunk — the Standard does everything the wider F-22 does at a lower overall weight. The F-22 earns its place when the user's seat width preferences or larger frame make the extra seat matter.

How the Rental Works

Delivery to your Kansas City hotel, residence, or Airbnb. Setup at delivery — handle height, brake walkthrough, folding demonstration. The rollator is yours for the rental period; pickup at the end per your schedule.

See the F-22 if a wider seat is important, or the full equipment catalog for cross-category comparison.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between this and the F-22?
Seat width. The F-22 has a 22-inch-wide seat for larger-frame users or anyone who'll sit on it frequently. The Standard has a ~12-inch seat — comfortable for quick rest stops, less so for extended sitting. If you're unsure, the Standard is the default; the F-22 is the upgrade for specific width needs.
Can I self-propel it or do I need a companion?
Self-propelled. The user walks behind the rollator and pushes it forward. It's essentially a wheeled walker you use yourself. No companion required.
Does it come with a bag for groceries or purse?
Most rollators include a small underseat bag or pouch for personal items. We include whatever the Medline Standard ships with; for specific storage needs (grocery bag, larger pouch), mention in the reservation notes.
How is the brake mechanism?
Ergonomic hand brakes on the handles — squeeze to slow, lock to park. The parking brake keeps the rollator stationary when the user sits on the seat. Standard walker-rollator mechanics that most users pick up within a few minutes.
Can I use it on outdoor surfaces?
Paved surfaces, yes — sidewalks, parking lots, paved Plaza blocks. Grass, gravel, or cobbled streets are more of a challenge with standard rollator wheels. For outdoor-terrain-heavy days, a mobility scooter is better.
Fits in a rental car trunk?
Yes. The folded footprint is smaller than a carry-on suitcase and lighter. Fits any sedan trunk.
