Transport Chair Rentals in Kansas City

Our transport chair is lightweight (under 20 lbs) and companion-pushed, with small wheels all around rather than the larger self-propelling wheels on a standard wheelchair. It's built for short distances rather than all-day self-propulsion. It folds flat and fits in any sedan trunk, which makes it a common pick for airport arrivals, doorstep-to-car transfers, and short indoor distances at a hotel or venue.

Transport chair rentals bill weekly or monthly, not daily. If you're not sure whether a transport chair or a full wheelchair fits your trip, see our transport chair vs. wheelchair comparison below. The short version: transport chair for portability and short pushes, wheelchair for longer distances or self-propulsion.

Rental questions

How much does it cost to rent a transport chair in Kansas City?
Transport chairs are $50 per week or $100 per month. There's no daily rate, since most rentals run several days to a few weeks rather than a single day. The reservation flow shows your exact total, including delivery, before you confirm.
What is a transport chair, and how is it different from a wheelchair?
A transport chair is lighter (under 20 lbs) and built for short, companion-pushed distances, with small wheels all around instead of the larger self-propelling wheels on a standard wheelchair. It folds flat and fits in any sedan trunk. See our transport chair vs. wheelchair comparison for the full breakdown of which fits your trip.
Is there a minimum rental period?
Yes. One week is the minimum, since there's no daily rate. A 10-day rental bills as one week plus a few days at the same weekly rate, not two full weeks.
How does delivery work?
We deliver to your hotel, home, or short-term rental, and to the venue itself on request; venue deliveries carry an additional $50–$75 fee, because they take more of our small team's time. For hotels, the chair is tagged with your name and staged at the bell stand before you check in. See our full hotel delivery process for detail.
Do I need a prescription or insurance to rent?
No. This is a hospitality rental, booked like a hotel or rental car. No prescription, insurance, doctor's note or paperwork is required. You simply reserve the equipment for your dates.
Can I use a transport chair for an airport arrival?
Yes. Its light weight and flat fold make it an easy pick for airport pickups and doorstep-to-car transfers, not just hotel or home use. Just give us the delivery address and dates when you reserve.
Is this a veteran-owned business?
Yes. Jeff Guzman, a U.S. Army veteran, founded it in 2023 and still runs it today. If you're a veteran, a VA caregiver, or visiting a veteran family member in Kansas City, feel free to mention it when you call. We're happy to help however we can.
What mobility equipment can I rent?
Mobility scooters (3-wheel and 4-wheel Pride Go-Go Traveller, Go-Go Sport, Go-Go LX with CTS suspension, and heavy-duty Victory 10), manual wheelchairs in 16"–20" seat widths, knee scooters, rollators, and lightweight transport chairs.
How much does it cost to rent a wheelchair, knee scooter, or rollator?
Manual wheelchairs (16", 18", and 20" seat widths), knee scooters, rollators, and transport chairs are $50 per week or $100 per month. These categories don't have a daily rate. One week is the minimum.
What is the heaviest-duty option / weight capacity?
The heaviest-duty option is the Pride Victory 10 scooter, which supports up to 400 lb. The Go-Go Sport and Go-Go LX support up to 325 lb, and our manual wheelchairs up to 300 lb. If you're unsure which model fits, call us and we'll match one to the rider's size and use.
How do I return the equipment?
You don't have to bring it anywhere. We pick it up from your hotel, home, or Airbnb when the rental ends, scheduled around your checkout or travel plans. If you picked up at our shop (703 Pennsylvania Ave, Leavenworth, KS), return it there during business hours (10am–5pm daily).
