A Name to Give the Visitor Who Asks “Is It Walkable?”

Someone calls your office, or stops at your desk, because they are coming to town for a graduation or a reunion and they are worried about the walking. You would like to give them something more useful than “most of it is pretty flat.” We are the local answer to that question — and listing us costs your organization nothing.

Who we are

A small, veteran-owned rental company in Kansas City. Jeff Guzman runs it — retired Army after twenty years. We own our equipment and deliver it ourselves; we are not a booking service passing your visitors to a call center. And we are a hospitality rental, not a medical provider, so pointing someone at us carries none of the complications of recommending a medical supplier.

We rent mobility scooters, manual wheelchairs, transport chairs, knee scooters and rollators, delivered anywhere in the metro seven days a week — same-day when we are called by early afternoon. We do not rent electric or power wheelchairs, which is worth knowing before you list us.

What listing us involves

No agreement, no tracking code, nothing for your staff or volunteers to administer. Add us wherever the question actually lands — a visitor guide, an accessibility page, a member directory — and send people straight to us. We bill the visitor directly, so it never becomes your billing question or your liability.

We pay no referral fees or commissions, to anyone. That means no contract to review, no revenue share to disclose to your members, and nothing for a board to weigh. If you list us, it is because the resource is useful to visitors — which is the only reason we would want to be listed.

Where it comes up

Usually someone travelling for something they cannot move — a commencement, a reunion, a wedding, a funeral — who booked the hotel and the flights before distance became the problem. We publish guides for a lot of those situations, including commencement guides for area colleges. Link any of them; nothing is gated.

If you would rather ask first, call 913-775-1098 and you will get Jeff, not a queue.

Link us, and we’ll take care of the visitors you send us

If your organization adds our website to yours — a visitor guide or accessibility page, a member or vendor directory, wherever it fits — we’ll set up a discount code for the visitors you send us. We create the code and we manage it, so there is still nothing for you to track.

It is open to any organization that links us, with no contract and no minimum. And to be clear about which direction the money goes: this is not a commission — we don’t pay referral fees to anyone, in any program. The discount goes to the visitors you send us, not to you, which is why organizations that could never accept a kickback can still take this.

Want something to circulate? Here’s a one-page introduction for your board or your visitor desk — one page, prints in black and white, or download the PDF to attach to an email.

Add one local name to your accessibility answer.

No agreement, no commission, nothing to administer. Call and ask us anything you would want to know before listing a business — or just save the number for the next visitor who asks how far the walk is.

Prefer email? jeff@kcmobilityrentals.com — it reaches Jeff, not a queue.

There's nothing to sign and nothing to disclose. We don't pay referral fees or commission — to anyone, in any program — so there's no contract and nothing for compliance to review. We bill the guest directly. You make one call and it leaves your desk. If you'd like to link us from your site, we'll set up a discount code for your guests and manage it ourselves.
