Airport Transport for Your Own Mobility Equipment

Your chair made it to Kansas City. Now it has to get to the hotel — and it will not fit in the rideshare, and often not in the rental car either. A full-size power chair is not something you hand to an Uber driver at the curb.

We collect it at Kansas City International and deliver it to your hotel, so you travel in from the terminal however suits you and find your equipment waiting. On the way home we do the reverse. $2.50 per mile driven, $125 minimum per leg, plus 25% per additional item, charged for each trip.

This is for equipment you already own. Nothing here comes out of our rental fleet.

What will it cost?

Enter both addresses for a real price — no callback, no obligation. Each trip is priced separately, so a drop-off now and a collection later are two charges.

What are we moving?

Set a quantity for each type. Leave the rest at zero.

Trips

Enter both addresses above and your price appears here.

Prices include the drive to you and back, which is why a short move still has a minimum. Equipment travels as we find it — we don't take anything apart or put it back together. A signed transport waiver is required before we collect. Questions? Call 913-775-1098.

Arriving, and going home

On arrival

Tell us your flight number and which terminal door you will be at. We meet you at the curb or baggage claim, photograph the equipment's condition, and take it to your hotel. You travel in separately and it is there when you arrive.

On departure

We collect from the hotel and have it at the terminal for your flight, so you are not wrestling it into a car on the morning you leave. Give us the departure time when you book and we will work back from it.

When this is worth it

  • The equipment is too large for whatever is meeting you at the airport.
  • The airline sent it on a later flight and you would rather not drive back out to KCI.
  • You are travelling with someone who cannot manage loading it.
  • You would rather arrive at the hotel unencumbered and find it already there.

Where we meet you, and where we leave it

  • At the airport: the curb or baggage claim. We cannot come through security or to the gate.
  • At a hotel: the entrance or bell stand.
  • At a home: the driveway.
  • No stairs — not a flight, and not a single step. Mobility equipment is heavy and awkward, and a stairway is where people and equipment get hurt.
  • Where the route in is flat or there is an elevator, our driver may bring it further. That is their judgement at the address on the day, and a courtesy rather than part of the booking.

If the airline damaged it in transit, that is a claim between you and the airline — we are not part of it and cannot pursue it for you. We can give you the photographs taken when we collected it, which show its condition the moment it left the airport.

Staying near the airport? We reach every major KCI-area hotel, and the calculator above prices the run from the terminal to any of them.

KCI airport transport — questions

Where do we meet you at the airport?
At the curb or at baggage claim, whichever suits you — we can't come through security or to the gate. Tell us which terminal door you'll be at when you book, and we'll confirm the meeting point in writing so nobody is circling looking for the other. If you'd rather hand it over at the oversized-baggage area, say so and we'll meet you there.
My flight is delayed. What happens?
Call us as soon as you know. We book an arrival window rather than a fixed minute, and we'll move with the flight where the day allows. If the delay is long enough that we can't cover it, we'll say so honestly rather than leave you waiting, and that leg isn't charged.
The airline put my wheelchair on a later flight. Can you collect it then?
Usually yes, and it saves you a second trip out to KCI. Tell us the flight it's now on and we'll arrange a window around it. If the airline can't give a firm arrival time, we'd rather wait for one than send a van on a guess — call us and we'll work the timing out together.
What if the airline damaged it?
A damage claim is between you and the airline — we're not part of it and can't pursue it for you. What we can give you is the photographs we take when we collect the equipment, showing its condition the moment it left the airport. Point out anything that looks wrong when we arrive so we photograph it properly rather than in passing.
Can you take it up to my hotel room?
We deliver to the hotel entrance or bell stand, and we don't take equipment up or down stairs. Where the route in is flat or there's an elevator, our driver may bring it further — that's their call at the door on the day, and it's a courtesy rather than part of the booking. Most hotels will move it to your room from the bell stand; it's worth a call ahead to arrange.
How much does it cost?
$2.50 per mile driven, $125 minimum per leg, plus 25% per additional item, charged for each trip. The mileage counts the drive out and back, because the van returns empty either way. Use the calculator above with the terminal as the collection address and your hotel as the destination for the exact figure — no callback needed.
Is this a rental?
No — this is for equipment you already own and are travelling with. If you'd rather not bring your own at all, we rent scooters, wheelchairs, transport chairs, knee scooters and rollators, delivered to your hotel before you check in. For a short trip that's usually the cheaper option. Call (913) 775-1098 if you're not sure which suits you.
