Quick fixes — tap your problem

Something not working? Tap the closest match for a step-by-step fix. Still stuck after that, a real person picks up — 913-775-1098.

It’s beeping and won’t go — what the beeps mean
  1. Your scooter tells you what’s wrong by beeping (and flashing). Count the beeps:
  2. 1 or 2 beeps — the battery is low. Charge it; two beeps means it’s too low to run.
  3. 3 beeps — the charger is still plugged in. Unplug the charger completely, turn the key off, then back on. (It will not drive while connected to the charger.)
  4. 4 beeps — it worked too hard and paused. Turn it off, wait a few minutes, then turn it back on.
  5. 5 beeps — it’s in freewheel (push) mode. Take the key out, push the freewheel lever by the rear wheels back to Drive (the rearward position), put the key in, and restart.
  6. 6 beeps — the throttle wasn’t centered at startup. Let go of the throttle lever so it returns to center, then turn the key off and back on.
  7. 7, 8, or 9 beeps — an internal fault. Don’t keep trying — call us.
  8. After any fix, turn the key off, then on — the scooter won’t run until the beep condition is cleared and you restart it. To hear the code again, take the key out and reinsert it.

Nothing happens at all — it seems completely dead
  1. Make sure the key is turned fully to On.
  2. Check the battery is charged — if you’re not sure, plug it in and give it time.
  3. Press the main circuit-breaker reset button in (a small button on the scooter body — under the seat on the Victory 10). Not sure where yours is? Call us and we’ll point you to it.
  4. Make sure the battery pack is seated firmly and its plug is fully connected.
  5. On a travel scooter, check the fuse under the battery pack; if it’s blown, replace it with one of the exact same rating.
  6. If it sat switched on without moving, a power-save timer may have shut it off — just turn the key off, then on.
  7. Still dead after all that? Call us — we’ll troubleshoot or swap the unit.

Battery & charging
  1. Charge nightly, 8–14 hours, using only the charger we provided — straight into a wall outlet, dry indoor spot, no extension cord, no one sitting on it.
  2. It will not drive while plugged in — unplug the charger fully before you ride (a 3-beep code means it’s still connected).
  3. If the charger never shows a full charge, or the battery won’t hold one: on a travel scooter, check the fuse on the battery pack or console and replace it if blown — otherwise call us and we’ll swap the unit.
  4. If the battery meter dips and the motor surges or hesitates, the batteries need a full charge (or replacing) — charge fully, and call us if it keeps happening.

The power keeps cutting out or the breaker trips
  1. One trip after a hill or a hard pull is normal. Wait about a minute, then press the reset button back in and carry on.
  2. If it trips again and again, the batteries most likely need charging or are worn out. Charge fully first.
  3. If it keeps tripping after a full charge, stop resetting it and call us — the unit needs service or a swap.

Folding, taking apart & putting it in a car
  1. Travel scooters come apart into pieces. Get help lifting, and never lift by the armrests.
  2. Keep the batteries upright and secure the scooter facing forward in the vehicle.
  3. Never sit on the scooter while the vehicle is moving — these aren’t rated to carry a rider on the road. Ride in a proper seat.
Still stuck? Call 913-775-1098
It doesn’t feel right or safe
  1. Stop, turn the key off, and call us right away. Never keep riding something that feels wrong.
  2. We do 1-for-1 equipment swaps — a fall, an injury, or a scooter that won’t stop is exactly when to call.

Before your first ride — the 6 rules that prevent almost every accident

  1. Stay within the weight limit. Rider plus anything you carry must not exceed your scooter’s rated capacity (on the label near the seat/battery). Going over it can make the scooter tip.
  2. Keep it dry. Don’t drive in rain, snow, puddles, or wet grass, and never hose it off or ride through water — it can damage the electrical system and make surfaces slippery.
  3. Respect slopes and curbs. Take ramps and hills straight up and straight down — never at an angle or across the face — and stay within your unit’s rated incline and curb height.
  4. One rider, no passengers. Never carry a second person, a child, or a pet. Don’t tow anything, and don’t walk a pet on a leash while riding.
  5. Don’t reach, lean, or stand on it. Picking things up off the ground or leaning over the side can tip the scooter. Get on and off only with the key removed.
  6. Sober and alert only. Don’t operate after alcohol or any medication that affects your alertness, vision, or reaction time. If you’re unsure you can operate it safely, ask your doctor.

Driving it

  • Start: turn the key on, set the speed dial toward the turtle (slow) to begin, then gently press the throttle lever — one side is forward, the other reverse.
  • Stop: just let go of the lever — it brakes and stops on its own.
  • Turns: slow down before turning; never turn sharply at speed.
  • Slopes: go down at the slowest speed, facing forward — never back down a slope or curb. Leave room; the scooter may roll back a little before the brake catches.
  • Best surfaces: dry, level pavement. Avoid loose gravel, sand, soft ground, tall grass, and the edges of drop-offs, curbs, and stairs.
  • Where not to ride: public streets, stairs, and escalators — always use an elevator.

Quick troubleshooting

The fastest fixes are in Quick fixes — tap your problem at the top of this page (won’t move, battery & charging, beeping, folding, and “doesn’t feel right”). Still stuck? Call us at 913-775-1098 — we’ll walk you through it or swap the unit.

Know your weight limit

The weight limit is a safety line, not a suggestion — exceeding it (rider plus anything you carry) can cause a tip. By model:

  • Victory 10 (full-size) — 400 lb
  • Go-Go Sport325 lb
  • Go-Go Traveller300 lb
  • Go-Go LX with CTS Suspension300 lb

Your unit’s limit is also printed on its rating label. Never exceed it.

Charging (multi-day rentals)

Charge nightly, 8–14 hours, using only the charger we provided — never an automotive charger and never an extension cord. Charge in a dry, ventilated indoor spot, plugged straight into a wall outlet, with no one sitting on it and children kept clear.

Transporting it in a car

Do not sit on the scooter while the vehicle is moving — these are not rated to carry a rider in a moving vehicle. Ride in a proper seat. Secure the scooter facing forward with the batteries upright, and get help lifting the take-apart pieces (don’t lift by the armrests).

If something goes wrong

A fall, an injury, or a scooter that won’t stop or feels wrong — stop, turn the key off, and call us at 913-775-1098. We do 1-for-1 equipment swaps; never keep riding something that doesn’t feel right.
