Moving Mobility Equipment You Already Own

You own the scooter, the wheelchair, the rollator. Getting it across town is the problem — it won't fit in the car, or there's nobody free to lift it. We collect it from one address and deliver it to another: a hotel before you check in, an event space before the doors open, a relative's house for the weekend.

This is not a rental. Nothing here comes out of our fleet, there's no daily rate and no return date — we're just the van and the two hands. $2.50 per mile driven, $125 minimum per leg, plus 25% per additional item, and each trip is charged separately.

What will it cost?

Enter both addresses for a real price — no callback, no obligation. Each trip is priced separately, so a drop-off now and a collection later are two charges.

What are we moving?

Set a quantity for each type. Leave the rest at zero.

Trips

Enter both addresses above and your price appears here.

Prices include the drive to you and back, which is why a short move still has a minimum. Equipment travels as we find it — we don't take anything apart or put it back together. A signed transport waiver is required before we collect. Questions? Call 913-775-1098.

Flying in or out of KCI

Airport equipment transport →

Your chair arrives at Kansas City International and will not fit in the rideshare. We collect it at the terminal and deliver it to your hotel, and reverse it on departure day — including when the airline sends it on a later flight. Meeting points, flight delays and what we can do about airline damage are all covered on its own page.

How it works

  1. Tell us both addresses Use the calculator above for a real price, then send the request. Nothing is committed until we accept the job.
  2. Sign the transport waiver A short release covering equipment in transit. We send it before we collect — it has to be signed first.
  3. We collect and photograph We record the condition at pickup, load and secure it, and send you the photos.
  4. We deliver and photograph again Same record at the other end, handed to you or to someone you have named in advance.

What we do

  • Load, secure and transport your equipment as we find it.
  • Photograph its condition at both ends and share both sets with you.
  • Hand it to you, or to someone you have named in advance.
  • Tell you at the door, not afterwards, if something can't be moved safely — and not charge you for that trip.

What we don't do

  • Carry equipment up or down stairs — not one step, not a flight.
  • Take equipment apart or put it back together. It travels as-is.
  • Service, repair, adjust or charge it — that's a separate booking.
  • Test whether it works, before or after the move.
  • Insure it. This service includes no coverage of any kind.

Where we leave it

The driveway is the delivery point. That is what you are booking, and what the price covers — at the pickup address and at the drop-off address.

We do not take equipment up or down stairs. Not a flight, and not a single step. Mobility equipment is heavy and awkward, and a stairway is where people and equipment get hurt.

Where a building is fully accessible — a flat, level route in, or a working elevator — we may bring it to the front door instead. That is a judgement our driver makes at the address, on the day, and it is theirs to make: they are the one who can see the threshold, the weather and the route. Please treat door delivery as a courtesy we can sometimes extend, not as part of the booking.

If the equipment needs to end up somewhere our driver cannot reach it — upstairs, down to a basement, through a step at the door — please arrange for someone to be there who can move it that last stretch. Tell us when you book and we will make sure the timing works.

The transport waiver, in short

Required before we collect. Version v1.1-2026-09-19.

  • A transport service for equipment you already own — not a rental.
  • Charged per leg: a drop-off and a later collection are two charges.
  • Moved as-is. We do not disassemble, reassemble, service, repair or charge equipment.
  • No insurance is included. Arrange your own cover if you want the equipment insured in transit.
  • Condition is photographed at pickup and at drop-off, and both sets are shared with you.
  • The release does not extend to gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
  • Driveway delivery at both ends. We do not carry equipment up or down stairs — door delivery is the driver's call where a building is fully accessible.

Equipment transport — questions

Is this a rental? I already have my own scooter.
It's the opposite of a rental. You keep your own equipment — we just move it. Nothing on this job comes from our fleet, and there's no rental agreement, no daily rate, and no return date. If you'd rather rent something instead of moving your own, that's a different service and usually cheaper for a short trip.
How is the price worked out?
$2.50 per mile driven, $125 minimum per leg, plus 25% per additional item. The mileage counts the drive out and back, because the van returns empty either way — that's why a short local move still hits the minimum. Anything under about 50 miles of driving comes out at the minimum. Each trip is priced separately, so dropping equipment off and collecting it later is two charges.
Why is it charged each way?
Each leg is a separate trip with its own fuel, driving time and wear. Dropping your scooter at a hotel on Friday and bringing it home on Sunday means two round trips for us, several days apart — we can't combine them into one drive. If you only need it moved one way, you only pay once.
Will you take my scooter apart to fit it in?
No. Equipment travels as we find it — we don't disassemble or reassemble anything. If your scooter needs folding or splitting to fit in a car, please do that before we arrive, or tell us when you book so we can plan for the size. It's the same policy as our haul-away service.
What if my equipment is damaged in transit?
We photograph its condition when we collect it and again when we deliver it, and you get both sets. A signed transport waiver is required before we collect, releasing us from liability for damage in transit — this service doesn't include insurance of any kind. If you want your equipment insured while it's being moved, arrange that with your own insurer beforehand. Tell us the same day if something looks wrong, before the equipment is used again, so we can compare against the delivery photos.
Do you charge more for a second piece of equipment?
Yes. The first item is included in the trip price; each additional one adds a share of that price, because more items mean more loading, more securing, and more space in the van. The calculator shows the exact figure once you set the number of pieces.
Where exactly will you leave the equipment?
The driveway, at both ends — that's the delivery point you're booking and what the price covers. We don't take equipment up or down stairs, not a flight and not a single step; mobility equipment is heavy and awkward, and stairways are where people and equipment get hurt. If a building is fully accessible — a flat, level route in or a working elevator — our driver may bring it to the front door instead. That's their call at the address on the day, since they're the one who can see the threshold, the weather and the route, so please treat door delivery as a courtesy rather than part of the booking. If it needs to end up somewhere we can't reach, arrange for someone to be there for that last stretch and tell us when you book.
How far will you travel?
We serve the Kansas City metro and the surrounding area. Because the price is built from the miles driven rather than a fixed zone, a long haul simply prices higher rather than being refused. If the calculator can't route your addresses, call (913) 775-1098 and we'll price it by hand.
Can you service or charge the equipment while you have it?
No. We move equipment; we don't service, repair, adjust or charge it, and we don't test whether it works. If your scooter needs work, our repair service is a separate booking — see our Kansas City scooter repair page.
