What a tune-up covers
- Batteries and charger — tested under load, so we know how much life is left and whether the charger is doing its job.
- Tires — wear, pressure and damage.
- Brakes — checked and adjusted.
- Cables and connections — the loose plug that looks like a dead scooter is the most common fault we find.
- Freewheel lever — so the scooter can be pushed if it ever needs to be.
- Lubrication where it is needed, then a test ride.
Small adjustments are part of the visit. If something needs a part, we tell you what it is and quote the repair before doing anything.
Cleaning
A wipe-down and sanitizing of the visible surfaces: the seat and armrests, the tiller and controls, the floorboard and the basket. It is a hygiene clean, not a deep clean or a strip-down. It comes with every tune-up, costs $49 on its own, and is free with any paid repair.
How often
Every six to twelve months suits most people; sooner if the scooter is ridden daily or stored somewhere cold. Batteries are usually the first thing to go, and a tune-up catches them while they are fading rather than after they have left you stuck.
