Conferences Are Exhausting Enough Without Sore Feet
Anyone who's worked a trade show floor knows the real endurance test isn't the sessions — it's the walking. Convention centers are enormous, hotel-to-venue distances add up fast, and a full day on your feet before an evening reception can wear down even people who don't normally think of themselves as having mobility needs.
If you're coming to Kansas City, MO for a conference at the Kansas City Convention Center (Bartle Hall) or a downtown hotel event, a mobility scooter can be the difference between enjoying the whole event and quietly disappearing back to your room by 3 p.m.
What "Friendly and Courteous" Actually Looks Like
It's easy to write those words in marketing copy. Here's what they mean in practice for a convention delivery in downtown Kansas City:
We coordinate around your schedule, not ours. Conference attendees often don't control their own calendars — sessions run long, flights get delayed, hotel check-in times shift. We build delivery windows around what actually works for you, and we communicate directly if anything needs to move.
We deliver to the hotel, not a rental counter. You won't need to find time to pick anything up. We bring the scooter to your downtown hotel, get it set up, and show you the controls before we leave — battery life, speed settings, how the tiller folds if you need to get it into an elevator or a rideshare trunk.
We treat every interaction like it matters, because it does. A rental during a business trip isn't a leisure purchase — it's often something a colleague or employer is watching, or something tied to a health situation that's already stressful. You're talking to the person who owns this business and delivers the equipment, not a rotating call center queue.
Choosing the Right Scooter for a Convention Trip
Convention floors and downtown Kansas City sidewalks are a different environment than a quiet residential neighborhood, so equipment choice matters:
- Pride Go-Go Traveller — folds down for easy trunk or rideshare transport, good if you're moving between venues or need it to disappear into a hotel closet overnight.
- Pride Go-Go Sport (3-wheel) — a tighter turning radius for navigating crowded exhibit hall aisles and hotel hallways.
- Pride Go-Go LX with CTS — sturdier suspension if you'll be covering more outdoor ground between venues, like walking routes through the Power & Light District or Crown Center.
If you're not sure which fits your trip, tell us your itinerary — how many venues, how much outdoor distance, whether you're flying home with it or leaving it behind — and we'll recommend the right one instead of the most expensive one.
How Booking Works
Pricing is shown upfront on our site by the day, week, or month, so you can see the real cost before requesting. Submit your dates and downtown delivery address, we confirm availability, and you'll get a secure payment link once approved — due within 48 hours. No prescription or medical paperwork is needed for a mobility scooter rental.
Because business travel schedules change, we're used to handling last-minute adjustments. If your flight moves or your conference dates shift, tell us as soon as you know — we'll do what we can to accommodate it.
Deposit, and What Happens if Plans Change
A refundable deposit is part of every rental, released back once the scooter is returned in the condition it left. If your conference gets postponed or your travel plans fall through, cancellations follow a straightforward tiered schedule: full refund seven or more days out, 75% at three to six days, 50% at 48 to 72 hours. Inside 48 hours, the rental generally isn't refundable — but conference logistics are unpredictable, so if something changes suddenly, reach out and we'll see what we can do.
Why Business Travelers Specifically Choose Local
A national equipment marketplace can connect you with a scooter, but it can't guarantee who shows up, how well the equipment has been maintained, or whether anyone answers if something goes wrong at 7 p.m. the night before your keynote. Working with a local, owner-operated business means the person delivering your scooter is also the person you'd call if you had a question mid-conference — not a support ticket routed through a national call queue.
Serving Downtown Kansas City and Beyond
We regularly deliver to hotels near the Kansas City Convention Center, the Power & Light District, and Crown Center, along with the wider Kansas City metro for attendees staying further out. Whatever the venue, the goal is the same: you show up to do your job or attend your event, and the equipment just works, delivered by someone who treats the interaction like it matters.
If you have a conference coming up, check availability for your dates and see real pricing before you request — no surprises, no upsell calls, just a scooter waiting at your hotel when you check in.
