Fire-Rescue International draws firefighters and EMS professionals from across the country for three days of apparatus displays, training sessions, and one of the largest fire-service exhibit floors in the region — a lot of it spent on your feet after a career spent on your feet. Whether you're recovering from a line-of-duty injury or just conserving energy for the parts of the show that matter most, a scooter delivered to your downtown hotel keeps the whole conference on the table.
Fire-Rescue International (FRI) 2026 ran August 12–14, 2026 at the Kansas City Convention Center (Bartle Hall). This event has concluded — this page is kept as a reference. For a current or upcoming Bartle Hall convention, see our conventions & conferences guide.
Why a three-day fire-service conference means real ground
Bartle Hall's exhibit floor spans four contiguous halls on one connected level, and FRI fills that space with full-size apparatus displays alongside vendor booths — which means a bigger footprint to cross than a typical trade show, on top of training sessions in the upper-level meeting rooms. Three days of that adds up to serious mileage by the closing session.
How delivery works for FRI attendees
We deliver mobility scooters to your downtown Kansas City hotel — never to Bartle Hall itself, since convention loading docks run on show-contractor freight schedules, not individual rental drop-offs.
For a multi-day Bartle Hall convention, we stage the scooter at your hotel's bell stand before your scheduled check-in, cleaned and charged, with same-day delivery available when you order by 2pm CT. You ride from your hotel to Bartle Hall each day; the scooter recharges overnight, and we pick it up at your hotel on whatever schedule fits your departure.
The downtown hotels we deliver to most often for Bartle Hall conventions: the Kansas City Marriott Downtown (skywalk-connected directly to the convention center), the Loews Kansas City, the Hilton President, the Crowne Plaza Downtown, and the Westin and Sheraton at Crown Center. See the full Bartle Hall accessibility guide for entrance, elevator, and parking detail.
What to rent for a three-day apparatus-floor conference
A four-wheel travel scooter with strong per-charge range and a comfortable seat covers a full show-floor day around large apparatus displays without a midday recharge, and holds up across all three days. Compare scooters. For shorter-distance needs or with a colleague to push, a manual wheelchair (16 to 20 inch seat widths) is a lighter option. Compare wheelchairs.
