By KC Mobility Scooter Rentals Updated

From founder Jeff Guzman and the KC Mobility team — Kansas City's veteran-owned mobility-rental operators, serving 20+ metro venues since 2023.

A summit built around ability and accessibility deserves attendees who aren't fighting the venue to be there. If a mobility limitation is part of why the Midwest Ability Summit matters to you in the first place, the last thing that should stand between you and a full day of sessions and exhibitors is the walk between them. We deliver a scooter or wheelchair to your Overland Park hotel before the summit starts, sized to you, ready when you check in.

Midwest Ability Summit 2026 runs August 22, 2026 at the Overland Park Convention Center. If you're planning to attend sessions and visit exhibitors across the day, a mobility scooter or wheelchair keeps the full schedule comfortable. Reserve in about two minutes.

How delivery works for Summit attendees

We deliver mobility scooters and wheelchairs to your Johnson County hotel — never to OPCC itself, since convention loading docks run on show-contractor freight schedules rather than individual rental drop-offs.

  • Reserve your date (August 22).
  • We stage the scooter at your hotel's bell stand before your scheduled check-in, cleaned and charged.
  • Same-day delivery is available when you order by 2pm CT.
  • Ride or roll to OPCC; the equipment is yours for the day.
  • We pick up at your hotel on whatever schedule fits your departure.

If you're staying at the Sheraton Overland Park, it connects to OPCC via an interior corridor — roll from your room to the summit floor without going outside at all. See the full Overland Park Convention Center accessibility guide for entrance, elevator, and parking detail — OPCC's single-level exhibit hall means no stairs to navigate once you're inside.

What to rent

For a single day moving between sessions and exhibitor booths, either a mobility scooter or a manual wheelchair works well depending on your independence and range needs. Mobility scooters give you self-powered movement across the whole venue — 3-wheel for tighter turning near booths, 4-wheel for a bit more stability. Compare scooters. Manual wheelchairs (16 to 20 inch seat widths) are the lighter, simpler option if a companion is attending with you. Compare wheelchairs. Not sure which is the right fit? Call us — we're happy to talk through it before you book.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions.

Frequently asked questions.

Are you affiliated with the Midwest Ability Summit?
No. We are an independent, locally owned mobility-equipment rental company and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Midwest Ability Summit or the Overland Park Convention Center. We deliver rental scooters and wheelchairs to attendees.
Can you deliver to the Sheraton Overland Park for the Summit?
Yes — the Sheraton is our most common delivery destination for OPCC events since it connects directly via an interior corridor. The scooter is staged at the bell stand before your check-in.
How do I decide between a scooter and a wheelchair for the Summit?
It depends mainly on independence and range: a scooter is self-powered and covers the whole venue on your own; a manual wheelchair is lighter and simpler if you have a companion to push. Call us and we can help you decide before you book.
