We've added Lansing, Kansas to our delivery coverage — two hotels now on our route, in a town that borders our own home base of Leavenworth.
Why Lansing
Lansing is a small city bordering Leavenworth, where our fleet is based, which makes this addition a little different from the rest of our recent coverage — it's not a new market so much as filling in a gap right next door. We drive through Lansing routinely as part of our normal Leavenworth-area routes, so delivery here is about as convenient as it gets, and it's genuinely part of our own community rather than a market we had to research from scratch.
Two Hotels, Right Next Door
Both hotels we now cover sit a few minutes from our own base of operations, which means faster turnaround and more flexibility on delivery timing than almost anywhere else on our route.
Hotels We Now Cover
- Econo Lodge Lansing — a budget-friendly Choice Hotels property
- Spark by Hilton Lansing-Leavenworth — a Hilton property, formerly a Holiday Inn Express under the same ownership
What You Can Rent
Our fleet covers the full range of mobility needs: 3-wheel and 4-wheel Pride Go-Go mobility scooters (including the heavier-duty Victory 10 for larger riders), manual wheelchairs in 16", 18", and 20" seat widths, knee scooters for post-surgical recovery, rollators and walkers, and lightweight transport chairs. Scooters rent daily with no minimum. Wheelchairs, knee scooters, rollators, and transport chairs run on a one-week minimum.
How Delivery Works
The process is the same everywhere we deliver: reserve online or by phone, and we bring the insured mobility scooter or wheelchair to your hotel's front desk ahead of your check-in, tagged with your name and stay dates. You pick it up at check-in — no separate rental counter, no extra paperwork — and we handle pickup again when your stay wraps up. Because Lansing sits right next to our home base, we can often turn around a same-day or even short-notice request faster here than on routes farther from Leavenworth.
The Same Fleet, Right at Home
There's nothing different about the equipment we deliver in Lansing versus anywhere else on our route — the same insured scooters, wheelchairs, knee scooters, rollators, and transport chairs, maintained to the same standard. The only real difference is proximity: when the hotel is a few minutes from where the fleet is stored, there's less that can go wrong between reserving and having it in hand at check-in.
Visiting Fort Leavenworth or Family Nearby
Lansing sits close to Fort Leavenworth, and a lot of the travel through this area is family visiting a soldier stationed there, or visiting relatives who live locally — trips that are sometimes planned on short notice. If a parent or grandparent making that trip needs a scooter or wheelchair to get through a full day of visiting without exhausting themselves, we'd rather make that part easy. Reserve ahead when you can, but if you're in town and need something quickly, being this close to our own base means we usually can help.
If you're staying in Lansing for any reason — a visit to Fort Leavenworth, a family matter, or simply because it's a convenient, low-cost stay near Leavenworth — give us a call. We deliver insured mobility scooters and wheelchairs to both hotels on this list, and being neighbors means we're rarely far away.
Filling In Our Own Backyard
Most of the towns we've added to our coverage recently — St. Joseph, Topeka, the south metro suburbs — were genuine expansions into markets we hadn't served before. Lansing is different. It's the town next door, and honestly, it should have been on this list from the beginning. Adding it formally, with real hotel-by-hotel coverage instead of assuming word of mouth would carry us, is us closing a gap in our own backyard rather than reaching into new territory.
What That Means for You
Being local to Lansing means shorter lead times, more flexibility if your plans change, and a genuine familiarity with the area rather than a delivery route mapped out from a spreadsheet. If something comes up last minute — a flight lands early, a family member's condition changes, a piece of equipment fails — we're close enough to Lansing that we can usually adjust. That's not something we can promise everywhere on our route, but it's true here.
Leavenworth, Right Next Door
Guests staying in Lansing are often really visiting Leavenworth itself — Fort Leavenworth, the historic downtown, or family who live on the Leavenworth side of the line — and simply booked whichever hotel had availability. We treat that the same way we'd treat a Leavenworth booking directly: same fleet, same insured equipment, same delivery process, just a slightly shorter drive on our end. If you booked a Lansing hotel because it was what was open, don't assume that puts you outside our normal service area — it doesn't.
