It's one of the better-preserved downtown business districts in the Midwest, and a mobility scooter makes the difference between window-shopping from the car and actually spending an afternoon exploring the Watkins Museum of History, South Park, or The Granada. DoubleTree by Hilton sits just across the Kansas River in North Lawrence — a short drive rather than a walk, but close in real terms.
Near Rock Chalk Park
StoneHill Lawrence sits directly on Rock Chalk Drive — named for, and right next to, Rock Chalk Park, the University of Kansas's elite athletics complex with an IAAF Class I certified track plus soccer and softball venues. Tru by Hilton is a short drive away on Wakarusa Drive, in the same West Lawrence corridor. If you're in town for a KU track meet, soccer match, or other event at Rock Chalk Park, either hotel puts you close.
Iowa Street and East Lawrence
Holiday Inn Express sits on the Iowa Street corridor in South Lawrence, near Free State Brewing Company — Lawrence's original brewery — and a real cluster of dining including Rock & Hawk Sports Bar and Grill and Q39. Country Inn & Suites, on East 23rd Street near K-10, rounds out the expansion; it's a short drive rather than a walk to downtown, but well-positioned for K-10 travel.

Everything arrives clean, charged, and insured, delivered straight to your hotel's front desk.
How Delivery Works
The same process we use everywhere: reserve online or by phone, and we deliver the insured mobility scooter or wheelchair to your hotel's front desk ahead of your check-in, tagged with your name and stay dates. Pick it up at check-in, no separate rental counter needed, and we handle pickup when your stay wraps up.
Commencement Weekends and Game Days
A lot of our Lawrence traffic clusters around predictable dates — KU commencement each spring brings grandparents and extended family who may not walk easily across a large campus, and football and basketball weekends bring fans who'd rather not miss tailgating or arena access because of a long walk from the parking lot. Booking ahead of those weekends is worth doing, since demand across our whole Lawrence fleet spikes at once; a call a few days out is safer than a same-day request during commencement.
