We've added Oak Grove, Missouri to our delivery coverage — a small eastern Jackson County town at I-70 Exit 28, with two hotels now on our route.
Why Oak Grove
Oak Grove sits at the far eastern edge of the Jackson County metro, a practical stop for the I-70 corridor rather than a headline destination in its own right. The town's own historical society museum preserves its Sni-A-Bar Township history — the same regional agricultural legacy that shaped neighboring Grain Valley — and Oak Grove is also a convenient base for visitors headed to Missouri Town 1855, a 19th-century living-history village a short drive away in nearby Fleming Park.
Hotels We Now Cover
- Holiday Inn Express & Suites Kansas City - Oak Grove I-70 — an IHG property at I-70 Exit 28
- Oak Grove Inn — an independent, budget-friendly motel, also at I-70 Exit 28
Both sit at the same interchange, a short walk apart.
What You Can Rent
Our fleet covers the full range of mobility needs: 3-wheel and 4-wheel Pride Go-Go mobility scooters (including the heavier-duty Victory 10 for larger riders), manual wheelchairs in 16", 18", and 20" seat widths, knee scooters for post-surgical recovery, rollators and walkers, and lightweight transport chairs. Scooters rent daily with no minimum. Wheelchairs, knee scooters, rollators, and transport chairs run on a one-week minimum.
How Delivery Works
The process is the same everywhere we deliver: reserve online or by phone, and we bring the insured mobility scooter or wheelchair to your hotel's front desk ahead of your check-in, tagged with your name and stay dates. You pick it up at check-in — no separate rental counter, no extra paperwork — and we handle pickup again when your stay wraps up.
A Base for Missouri Town 1855
Missouri Town 1855 is a genuine 19th-century living-history village, not a Oak Grove attraction itself but close enough to make Oak Grove a sensible base for the visit — the grounds are 25-plus historic buildings spread across a real outdoor footprint, and a scooter or wheelchair makes a full day there realistic for a guest with limited stamina. Delivery to either Oak Grove hotel, then the scooter travels with you to Fleming Park for the day.
Two Options, One Interchange
Whether you book the full-service Holiday Inn Express or the budget-friendly Oak Grove Inn, both properties sit at the same I-70 interchange and both accept the same front-desk delivery workflow. Neither requires anything extra from you beyond a normal hotel check-in.
If you're passing through Oak Grove on I-70, headed to Missouri Town 1855, or staying in town for another reason, give us a call — we deliver insured mobility scooters and wheelchairs to both hotels on this list.
Getting the Attribution Right
Missouri Town 1855 gets described online as an "Oak Grove attraction" often enough that it's worth being precise: the 25-plus historic buildings are actually inside Fleming Park, closer to Lee's Summit, and Oak Grove is simply a convenient, lower-cost place to stay while visiting. We'd rather tell you that plainly than let you assume the village is a short walk from your hotel — it's a short drive, and worth planning as its own leg of the trip.
A Genuine I-70 Waypoint
Oak Grove sees a steady mix of highway travelers, some just passing through and others in town for a specific reason — a family visit, a work trip, or a day at Missouri Town 1855. A long stretch of I-70 driving can aggravate a bad hip or knee that wasn't a problem when the trip started, and having a scooter or wheelchair waiting at either Oak Grove hotel means the rest of your stay doesn't have to be spent recovering from the drive.
The Same Sni-A-Bar History as Grain Valley
Oak Grove and neighboring Grain Valley share the same Sni-A-Bar Township roots — the same regional agricultural legacy split across two small towns that grew up a few miles apart on the same rail line. Oak Grove's historical society museum keeps its own piece of that story, distinct from Grain Valley's, and the two towns pair naturally if local history is part of your trip.
