Knee scooter or knee walker — which is which?
They're the same thing. "Knee scooter" and "knee walker" are interchangeable names for a wheeled mobility aid you rest your injured knee on while pushing with your good leg. You'll see it spelled both ways online — same rental, same price, regardless of which one you searched for.
Why it's easier than crutches for most people
Crutches lean on constant arm and shoulder strength — after a few days they hurt your hands and slow you down because you can't carry anything. A knee scooter solves that: you push with your good leg, your arms are free, and you can carry a coffee, a bag, or a phone. Crutches still make sense for very short trips like the middle of the night, which is why most renters keep a pair around and use the scooter for everything else.
Three variants, one flat rate
All three steer with a front wheel and a locking brake, and fold for vehicle transport. The all-terrain model has pneumatic tires built for outdoor surfaces and a real Kansas City visit with walking involved. The hybrid has mid-size wheels — comfortable indoors and on smooth outdoor ground. The smaller-frame option has a lower knee platform for pediatric riders or smaller adults. Every variant rents at the same $50/week or $100/month rate — no upcharge for all-terrain.
Sizing
Our knee scooters adjust comfortably for riders roughly 5'0" to 6'4". Outside that range, call 913-775-1098 before booking — we can sometimes accommodate, but we'd rather confirm fit than send the wrong unit.
Hotel & home delivery, never the venue
We deliver to your hotel, home, or short-term rental — not to the stadium, convention hall, or event venue itself. For hotels, the scooter is tagged with your name and staged at the bell stand before you check in, the same process used for every rental we deliver. See our full hotel delivery page for hotel-by-hotel detail.
No prescription, no insurance paperwork
This is a hospitality rental — the same category as a rental car or a hotel booking, not durable medical equipment. No prescription, no insurance claim, no medical documentation, and no medical advice — whether a knee scooter is right for a specific injury is between you and your doctor. Reserve online in a couple of minutes or call 913-775-1098 and we'll help you pick the right variant.
