A Resort Big Enough to Need One
Prairie Band isn't a single hotel — it's a 297-room destination resort with a full casino floor (1,200 slot machines, 27 table games), a spa with sauna, steam room, and cold plunge, indoor and outdoor pools, three restaurants and a coffee shop, and a 1,100-seat event center that hosts touring rock, country, and comedy acts. Right across from the casino sits Firekeeper Golf Course, ranked the top course in Kansas and designed by PGA TOUR winner Notah Begay III. On a property this size, the distance from your room to the casino floor, to dinner, to the event center, and back again adds up fast — exactly the kind of layout where a mobility scooter makes a real, practical difference rather than just a convenience.
Why We're Covering It, Despite the Distance
Our usual coverage area runs from Leavenworth through the KC metro to its suburbs, all within a reasonable same-day delivery radius. Prairie Band sits well outside that radius — it's genuinely about an hour from our Leavenworth base. We're covering it anyway because it's a real, large-scale destination that our existing customer base travels to, and because a resort this size without accessible mobility options nearby just doesn't make sense to leave unaddressed.
Given the distance, we ask that you call ahead to confirm delivery timing rather than booking last-minute — we want to get equipment to you reliably, not promise something we can't deliver on short notice this far out.
What You Can Rent
Our full fleet is available for Prairie Band deliveries: 3-wheel and 4-wheel Pride Go-Go mobility scooters, the heavier-duty Victory 10 for larger riders, manual wheelchairs in 16", 18", and 20" seat widths, knee scooters, rollators and walkers, and lightweight transport chairs. Scooters rent daily with no minimum, which fits a lot of Prairie Band trips — a weekend getaway rather than an extended stay. Wheelchairs, knee scooters, rollators, and transport chairs run on a one-week minimum.
How Delivery Works
We coordinate directly with the resort's front desk so your scooter or wheelchair is staged and ready before your check-in — tagged with your name and stay dates, no rental paperwork required at the resort itself. You pick it up when you check in, and we handle pickup at the end of your stay.
A Golf Trip, a Concert Weekend, or a Casino Getaway
Firekeeper Golf Course draws its own dedicated following independent of the casino, and golfers recovering from a knee or hip issue sometimes still want to play a round they've been looking forward to — a knee scooter or a wheelchair for getting between the clubhouse and cart can make that possible. On event weekends at the 1,100-seat center, the walk from a guest room to the venue and back is longer than it looks on paper; a scooter closes that gap the same way it would at any large arena.
