Planet Comicon Kansas City is the region's largest pop-culture convention — celebrity guests, comic artists, panels, cosplay, and a sprawling exhibitor floor draw tens of thousands of fans each year. It's held at the Kansas City Convention Center (Bartle Hall), 301 W 13th St, downtown, typically over a late-March weekend. The 2026 event is scheduled for March 27–29; confirm exact dates and hours with the organizer.
A convention this size means long days. The show floor alone is enormous, and add in panel rooms, photo ops, autograph lines, and the walk to and from your hotel — it's a lot of standing and walking over a busy weekend. A mobility scooter lets you take in everything at your own pace and save your energy for the parts you came for.
Bartle Hall is a modern, fully accessible venue with step-free entries, elevators, and wide concourses, so getting around is straightforward once you're mobile. Downtown hotels near the convention center and Power & Light District are the best base, with the free KC Streetcar connecting lodging to the convention area.
For out-of-town fans, we deliver the scooter to your downtown hotel before check-in and pick it up when you leave, covering all three days. A multi-day rental fits Planet Comicon's Friday–Sunday run. Reserve early — spring convention weekends book up. Call 913-775-1098.
