How the rental works for an employee accommodation

For HR-arranged rentals:

  1. HR contacts us with the dates, the employee’s general accommodation context (just enough for us to recommend the right scooter model — no medical detail required), and the billing arrangement.
  2. We deliver to the employee’s home or to a campus reception desk before the accommodation start date.
  3. We service issues during the rental — battery questions, controller settings, comfort adjustments — directly with the employee.
  4. We pick up when the accommodation period ends. Most HR teams bill the rental to the corporate card under accommodation expenses; some prefer employee-paid with reimbursement. Either works.

For employee-arranged rentals (paying yourself, possibly with reimbursement):

Can you deliver the scooter directly to the business — not to a hotel?
Yes. For corporate-billed rentals and employee accommodations, direct-to-business delivery is the default. We coordinate with reception, facilities, or your HR business partner on a scheduled delivery time. The scooter is signed for at the front desk or staged in a pre-arranged location ready for the employee or visitor. Pickup at end of rental works the same way. Hotel delivery remains available for individual visiting employees who prefer it.
Can our HR team set up a temporary scooter rental for an employee post-surgery?
Yes. Monthly rentals are the common arrangement — direct-billed to the company or to the employee with reimbursement, whichever fits the accommodation policy. We deliver to the employee's home or to the campus reception desk before the employee returns to work, and we pick up when the accommodation period ends. No medical paperwork required from our side; the rental is a hospitality service, not a Durable Medical Equipment provider.
What about an out-of-town executive visiting Cerner for a week of meetings?
Hotel delivery is the default for visiting employees. We stage the scooter at the hotel front desk before check-in. What about ADA compliance documentation for an accommodation request?
We're a rental provider, not an ADA accommodation consultant. We supply a clean rental invoice and equipment documentation that HR can use as part of the accommodation paper trail. For the legal / policy side of an accommodation request, work with the employee's HR business partner and any internal ADA coordinator.
Is the rental confidential — will it appear on the employee's record?
Our rental records are confidential between us and the renter. We don't share customer information with employers unless the employer is the billing party (in which case the company sees only the invoice, not medical context). For accommodation confidentiality, follow your HR team's standard process — the rental itself doesn't surface anywhere outside our customer database.
