Signature Aviation at Kansas City Downtown Airport (MKC, 10 NW Richards Road) is one of the two primary FBOs serving Kansas City’s private-aviation traffic. For arriving passengers who need mobility support — older travelers, post-surgery recoveries, chronic conditions, family members traveling with patients — Signature’s customer service team is the de facto concierge that fields the inbound request. We coordinate directly with that team to deliver mobility equipment to the FBO before passenger arrival.

The arrival workflow
The standard sequence:
- Confirmation of arrival window. Crew, EA, or concierge contacts us with the inbound aircraft ETA and the passenger’s mobility needs. Flexible enough to handle “we don’t know exactly what they need” — we stage a full-size scooter plus a transport chair as a default for unknown-need requests.
- Staged at Signature before touchdown. Equipment is positioned in the FBO lobby (or, when authorized, planeside) so the passenger transfers from cabin to scooter to waiting ground transport with no waiting.
- Discretion and crew-friendly billing. Card-on-file billing, itemized PDF invoices, no friction at the passenger. We handle EA / family-office paperwork separately.
- Pickup at end of stay. End-of-trip pickup at the passenger’s hotel, residence, or back at MKC for the departure flight — whichever fits the trip.
What we bring
Our fleet covers the full ADA-compliant rental range: travel and full-size 3-wheel/4-wheel mobility scooters, manual wheelchairs, transport chairs, knee scooters, rollators. Weight capacities 250-400 lbs. We match the equipment to the passenger’s situation during booking, and we have margin in our scheduling so a fleet pull at short notice is rarely an issue.
