If you’re a VFW member with business in Kansas City, there’s a fact worth knowing: you’re not visiting just any city with a post or two. Kansas City is home to VFW National Headquarters, at 406 W 34th Street — the organization’s actual home base. Whether you’re here for a national-level meeting, a training, a ceremony, or simply passing through as a member of a local post, Kansas City carries more VFW history and infrastructure than most cities you’ll ever travel to for VFW business.
To be direct about what that does and doesn’t mean for us: we are not affiliated with the VFW, we don’t have an official relationship with National Headquarters, and nothing on this page should be read as a partnership claim. What we are is a veteran-owned local rental company that’s proud to serve the community the VFW represents, in the city its own headquarters calls home.
Who this page is for
Members traveling to Kansas City for VFW business — a national-level visit, a training session, or simply a member’s trip that happens to route through the city where VFW headquarters sits. If getting around comfortably during your stay is a concern, a rental scooter delivered to your hotel solves it before you land.
Local post members and families in the Kansas City metro who need a scooter or wheelchair for a meeting, a color guard assignment, a funeral honors detail, an anniversary event, or simply day-to-day mobility. Posts across the metro — we’re aware of active KC posts including VFW Post 1829 — hold a steady calendar of meetings and community events, and equipment access shouldn’t be the reason a member sits one out.
Post officers planning group logistics for an event where more than one member may need mobility equipment — a post anniversary, a district meeting hosted locally, or a larger gathering. We handle multi-unit reservations on a single invoice; see our veteran organization page for how that works.
What we actually offer
Mobility scooters, manual wheelchairs, transport chairs, knee scooters, and a rollator — delivered to your Kansas City hotel, home, or (when logistics allow) directly to the post. No prescription, no insurance paperwork, no proof-of-service requirement. Every price is published on our equipment pages before you book, and it’s the same rate whether you’re a VFW member, a first-time visitor, or anyone else renting from us.
We don’t offer a membership discount, and we’re not going to pretend that’s a downside dressed up as a feature — it’s simply how the business is set up. What you get instead is a straight number up front and a veteran-owned company on the other end of the phone.
Delivery and logistics
We deliver across the full Kansas City metro, on both sides of the state line, with same-day delivery available for orders placed before 2 p.m. local time when capacity allows. For hotel deliveries, we coordinate with the front desk or bell stand so your scooter is ready at check-in — you don’t need to be in the room when we arrive. For post-related deliveries, tell us the address and we’ll confirm the best drop-off arrangement given the post’s hours and access.
If you run into an issue during your stay or your event — a battery concern, a tire, a control question — call us directly. We’re local, we answer, and for member events we plan around being reachable throughout.
