A short, honest page, because Donnelly publishes an unusual combination: excellent date information and no venue information at all.
What is confirmed
Donnelly holds one ceremony a year, in May. From the college catalog: "Donnelly College holds one graduation ceremony in May of each year to honor all candidates who complete degree requirements within the academic year." Students who finish in December may receive diplomas without ceremony and then participate the following May. There is no December ceremony.
The academic calendar, approved in December 2025, publishes commencement dates further ahead than any other college in the area:
- Saturday, May 22, 2027
- May 20, 2028
- May 19, 2029
- May 18, 2030
- May 17, 2031
- May 22, 2032
Each is preceded by a Baccalaureate Mass two days earlier. If you are planning travel for a grandchild who is two or three years from finishing, those dates are the most reliable on this whole site.
The campus is at 608 N. 18th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66102, phone (913) 621-8700.
The one question you must ask
Donnelly does not publish where commencement is held, and it is not on our list to guess.
We looked hard (the graduation page, the academic catalog, the news archive, the site map, the college's digest), and no recent year's venue is named anywhere. The historical pages that are still reachable on Donnelly's website are visibly out of date: a 2017 news post and a 2019 pinning page name a venue, and an older third-party article from 2010 names a different one entirely. The venue has demonstrably changed over time, and the current one is simply not published.
Repeating a nine-year-old address to you as though it were current is exactly the kind of mistake that ends with a family at the wrong building on the morning of a graduation. So: call (913) 621-8700 and ask where the ceremony is held.
While you have them on the phone, ask about access too. Donnelly's ADA page covers website accessibility only. It is a WCAG policy with a complaint procedure, with nothing about physical access, ADA seating or event accommodations, and no named contact, email or phone for any of it. There is no disability-services page on the college site. So the questions worth asking are simple ones: where is it, where do we park, where is accessible seating, and is there a drop-off.
What we can do
We deliver mobility scooters, wheelchairs, transport chairs and rollators across the Kansas City metro, including all of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, Kansas, so wherever the ceremony turns out to be held locally, getting equipment there is not the hard part.
Once you have confirmed the venue, tell us where it is and where you are staying, and we will have the equipment delivered, charged and ready, the day before. Late May is peak season for us, so call as soon as you know your plans rather than in commencement week.
KC Mobility Scooter Rentals is an independent rental company. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or speaking on behalf of any college or university, and we do not control any campus or venue policy. Details here were read from each school's own published pages in September 2026. Always confirm the current year's arrangements with the school before you travel.
