The National Museum of Toys and Miniatures is one of the largest collections of its kind in the world, with 72,000+ antique toys and fine-scale miniatures housed on the UMKC campus near the Country Club Plaza. About the Museum
Two distinct collection tracks:
Antique Toys: from the 19th century through modern collectibles. Dolls, mechanical toys, train sets, tin and cast-iron toys, holiday collectibles.
Fine-Scale Miniatures: museum-quality craft including dollhouses, room boxes (detailed miniature interiors), miniature furniture, and architectural models. This section often surprises visitors who didn’t expect the depth.
Plan 1-2 hours for a focused visit, 2-3 hours for deep browsing.
