Wheelchair Rental for a Wedding in Kansas City

A wedding weekend means a lot of standing, a lot of walking, and a lot you don't want a loved one to miss. We deliver a manual wheelchair to the guest's Kansas City hotel before the weekend starts — cleaned, folded, ready to open — so they're at the ceremony and the reception, not sitting it out. No prescription, no insurance paperwork, just $50 a week or $100 a month.

Why families rent for a wedding

An out-of-town wedding is a full weekend — the rehearsal dinner, the ceremony, the reception, photos, and everything in between. For a guest who tires from walking or standing for long stretches, that adds up fast. A wheelchair means they're part of the whole weekend instead of resting between events, and a family member can push when they want company, or they can self-propel when they'd rather move on their own.

Delivered before the weekend starts

We deliver to the guest's Kansas City hotel and tag it with their name, staged at the bell stand before check-in — the same process used for every rental we deliver. It's there when they arrive, not something anyone has to coordinate mid-weekend. See our full hotel delivery page for hotel-by-hotel detail.

No prescription, no insurance paperwork

This is a hospitality rental — the same category as a rental car or a hotel booking, not durable medical equipment. No prescription, no insurance claim, no medical documentation. Reserve online in a couple of minutes or call 913-775-1098 and we'll help you pick the right size.

Wheelchair, rollator, or transport chair?

If the guest needs to be pushed or wants to self-propel for real distance — the ceremony space, the reception hall, photos on the lawn — a wheelchair is the right call. If they can walk but want a stable frame and a place to sit between moments, a rollator may fit better. Not sure which? Call and we'll help you decide before you book, not after a wasted delivery.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost to rent a wheelchair for a wedding weekend?
Manual wheelchairs are $50 per week or $100 per month — there's no daily rate, since a wedding weekend runs several days including travel and rehearsal. The reservation flow shows your exact total, including delivery, before you confirm.
Can it be delivered before the wedding weekend starts?
Yes — we deliver to the hotel and tag it with the guest's name, staged at the bell stand before check-in. It's ready and waiting when they arrive, not something to track down mid-weekend.
Is a wheelchair or a rollator better for a wedding?
Depends on the guest. A wheelchair is the right call if they need to be pushed or want to self-propel for longer distances — the ceremony, the reception hall, photos on the lawn. If they can walk but want support and a place to sit between moments, a rollator may be the better fit — see our rollator rental page.
Do we need a prescription or insurance to rent one for a guest?
No. This is a hospitality rental, not durable medical equipment — no prescription, insurance, or medical paperwork. Just enter the guest's details and the hotel or venue-area delivery address when you reserve.
What sizes are available?
Manual wheelchairs in three seat widths — 16", 18", and 20" — companion-pushable or self-propelled, supporting up to 300 lb. Tell us the guest's size and we'll recommend a width at booking.
Can you deliver directly to the wedding venue?
We deliver to hotels, homes, and short-term rentals — not directly to the venue itself. Most families have the wheelchair delivered to the guest's hotel the day before, then it travels with them to the ceremony and reception.
