Short-term rental for patients going home — same-day to the house, billed to the family, nothing in the chart. We are not a DME provider and do not bill insurance.

Where we fit

The approved chair is late. Authorization went through, delivery is a week or two out, discharge is tomorrow.
The need is short. A few weeks of recovery that was never going to meet an in-home mobility-need test.
Family is coming to help. Someone flying in for ten days who needs a chair or a rollator while they are here.
Getting out of the house. A scooter for a follow-up appointment or a family event — which DME does not fund at all.

When NOT to send someone to us

How it works

  1. Give the family the number or a card. No form, no portal, no order to place, nothing in the chart.
  2. They call us and we deliver to the home, cleaned and ready — same-day across the metro when we are called by early afternoon.
  3. We bill the family directly, for as long as they actually need it.
  4. We collect when they are finished, at a time they give us.

What it costs your unit

Nothing — and there’s no commission either. We don’t pay referral fees to anyone, in any program, so there’s no contract and nothing to reconcile, nothing for compliance to review and nothing to disclose. We bill the customer directly. If you’d like to link us from your website we’ll set up a discount code for your people — we create it and we manage it, so it still costs you nothing and there is still nothing for you to track.

What we are

A hospitality rental company — manual wheelchairs, transport chairs, rollators, knee scooters and mobility scooters, delivered across the Kansas City metro. Not a DME provider: no prescriptions, no insurance billing, no patient information held, and no advice on what equipment someone should use. Veteran-owned and owner-operated; the person who answers the phone does the delivery.

If your organization adds kcmobilityrentals.com to your website — a resources page, an accessibility page, a member or vendor directory, wherever it fits — we’ll set up a discount code for your people to use. We create the code and we manage it, so there is still nothing for you to track and still nothing that costs you anything. It applies to any organization that links us; there is no contract and no minimum.
