We sell and fit MK batteries for any brand of mobility scooter, and supply batteries for power
wheelchairs and stairlifts too. Here is how it works for Parkville:
Installed at your home
Installation is free with batteries bought from us.
The only charge is our delivery fee for your Parkville address, $50.
Or at our Leavenworth shop
Bring the scooter in and we install free, or pick the batteries up and fit them yourself at no extra charge.
Warranty we handle ourselves
As a qualified MK Battery distributor, we replace a battery that fails from a defect within twelve months of installation. Keep the receipt.
Waiting on an order?
We order fresh stock rather than keep batteries on a shelf, and offer half-price mobility scooter rentals while you wait.
Each battery carries a core fee, shown with the price. If we run into problems during installation,
such as seized or damaged cables or stripped screws that make removal harder, additional charges may apply.
Clearing out equipment you no longer use? We haul wheelchairs, rollators, scooters, hospital
beds, lifts, ramps and stair lifts away free, as they are, with nothing for you to take apart.
We pay cash for three Pride scooter models and can collect the rest on the same trip.
We move the scooter, wheelchair or lift you own: home to a family member's house, a care
community or the airport. $2.50 per mile driven, $125 minimum per leg, plus 25% per additional item, priced on the full round trip
from our Leavenworth base.
Parkville grew up on a bend of the Missouri River, and its downtown still feels like a river town. Visitors come for the shops and restaurants along Main Street, the Saturday farmers market at English Landing Park, and events at Park University, whose campus climbs the bluff above town. Downtown is fairly level, but the walk from the riverfront up to campus is steep, and a full day here covers more ground than most people expect.
Where we deliver in Parkville

The drive from our shop
Our Leavenworth shop is about 36 minutes from Parkville. We set the equipment up where you will use it, walk you through it, and come back for it when your rental ends.
Along the river
English Landing Park covers 68 acres along the river, with trails, a playground and the farmers market pavilion near the park entrance. The market has run in the park since 1991 and moved into a new structure in 2025. From the park, the Missouri Riverfront Trail runs about five miles east to E.H. Young Riverfront Park in Riverside, partly along the levee top, where there is little shade. Pick a cool day for the full stretch.
For a quieter outing, the Parkville Nature Sanctuary sits next to the Park University athletic fields. Its 115 acres have gravel and woodchip trails that stay usable in wet weather, though they are rougher than pavement. A scooter suits the downtown blocks and paved park paths best.
Graduation and campus events
Park University commencement brings families into town each spring. Campus walks are hilly, so many guests reserve a scooter or wheelchair for the weekend. Book early for graduation dates.
Every rental is a minimum of 2 calendar days. Reserve online or call (913) 775-1098.
