A young Harry Truman worked his family’s farm in Grandview from 1906 to 1917, well before he entered politics — a quieter, less-visited piece of his story than the Independence sites most people know, but a real one. The Truman Farm Home is preserved today as part of the wider Harry S. Truman National Historic Site.
