Ecuador’s national team brings a strong, family-traveling fan base to international tournaments — generations attending together, big extended-family delegations, and a steady current of older relatives flying in to support the squad. For the summer 2026 international tournament window, that fan base is coming to Kansas City for at least one group-stage match at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.
We rent mobility scooters and wheelchairs to fans for whom the standard match-day plan would not work — older parents, traveling family with mobility limits, fans recovering from surgery who refused to miss the match. This page is for you.
Match-day plan for Ecuador-fan visitors
The summer-2026 match-day plan, applied to the Ecuador match:
- Scooter delivery — to your Kansas City hotel, before your check-in window, tagged with your name. You take possession at arrival. We do not deliver to the stadium.
- Hotel to stadium — via Connect KC 26 (the official regional motorcoach network), 15 hubs across the metro, lift-equipped buses that accept mobility scooters. See the Connect KC 26 mobility hub guide.
- At the stadium — accessible entry, accessible seating sections, scooter parks beside your seat. See the GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium mobility guide.
- Return trip — same in reverse, plus 30–60 extra minutes for the post-match crowd.
For Ecuador-match attendees specifically:
- Spanish-language support at 913-775-1098 during business hours.
- The Spanish pillar at /alquiler-scooter-movilidad-futbol-internacional-kansas-city-verano-2026 covers the entire summer 2026 program in Spanish.
- Family booking discounts — multi-scooter family rentals (e.g. grandmother + grandfather + parent recovering from surgery) get the same daily rate per unit but we coordinate the entire delivery as one stop. Mention multi-unit at booking.
The fan zone at the WWI Museum
Tournament soccer fan zones become one of the social centers of the tournament. The Kansas City fan zone runs at the National WWI Museum and Memorial on the bluff above Union Station. With Ecuador fans concentrated for the match days, expect dense crowds on match days and the day before.
The hill is the accessibility consideration. The elevator inside Union Station + the bridge up to the museum plaza is the most accessible approach with a scooter — far easier than the outdoor hill from the parking-area side. Crown Center hotels are best positioned for this routing.
Best hotel positions
Crown Center — Westin, Sheraton, Hotel Kansas City. Streetcar to Plaza for dinner, Link skywalk to Union Station for the fan zone, walkable Connect KC 26 hub.
Downtown / Crossroads — Loews, KC Marriott Downtown, Hilton President, Hotel Indigo, Hotel Savoy. Streetcar-connected, walkable Connect KC 26 hub, Power & Light District nightlife.
Plaza-area — Sheraton Suites Plaza, KC Marriott Plaza, InterContinental, Embassy Suites Plaza, Cascade, Fontaine, Raphael, Truitt. Streetcar-extension access to downtown and Crown Center.
