Cameron grew up as a railroad town, and it still sits at a crossroads, where I-35 meets US-36 in Clinton County. The Cameron Historical Society keeps the town’s story in the restored depot, finished in 1898 and saved from demolition in the 1980s. Memorial Park, set aside in 1946 as a 150-acre memorial to veterans, is the main city park, with a lake, walking trails with benches and a veterans memorial. A short drive south, Wallace State Park wraps wooded hills and picnic areas around Lake Allaman.
Most visits here mix a little of everything: a stop downtown, an afternoon at the park, a family gathering. That adds up to more walking than it sounds, often on grass and gentle hills.

The drive from Leavenworth
Our shop is in Leavenworth, Kansas, about 74 minutes from Cameron by road. Delivery is zone-based by driving distance, and the reservation flow shows the exact fee for your address before you confirm. Because Cameron is toward the edge of our area, booking a few days ahead gives us the best chance to fit your date.
Planning your visit
A mobility scooter suits park days and outdoor gatherings, as long as you stay on paved paths and firm ground. Wallace State Park’s hiking trails are natural surface, so the picnic areas and lakeside spots are the better fit. A manual wheelchair or transport chair is lighter and folds into a car for errands, church and visits around town.
Every rental is a minimum of 2 calendar days, which fits a holiday visit or a week in town.
